CIM Saskatoon Student Chapter Presents: CIM Spring Gala March 25 @6pm

Event Description

Whether you are looking for a job in the mining industry, for a student group to get involved with on campus, or to learn about various aspects of mining in Saskatchewan, Edwards students are highly encouraged to attend the CIM Spring Gala!

The event includes drinks and supper and will take place on Monday, March 25th at 6p.m. at the Marquis Hall Exeter Room. Network with industry representatives and gain insight into the mining industry through speakers from PotashCorp, K+S Potash Canada, Cameco and North Rim who will be speaking on a range of topics including exploration, mining and milling, cross-discipline experiences and environmental safety and sustainability.

When: Monday March 25th, doors open at 6:00 p.m. supper at 6:30.
Where: Marquis Hall Exeter Room, 97 Campus Drive, Saskatoon, SK
Tickets: $10.00 for students. Please go to www.cim.eventbrite.ca to purchase. Tickets include a buffet-style meal (there will be a cash bar).

The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) Saskatoon Student Chapter aims to foster communication between students and industry professionals, facilitate learning from the experience of industry professionals through Professional Speaker Nights and to help students form an affiliation with the Provincial and National CIM organizations before entering the workforce.

CIM will also be looking for a new Edwards School of Business Liaison for next year so coming to this event is a great opportunity to get involved. CIM also provides students with scholarship opportunities (and yes the Edwards students can easily qualify)!
