STEP is pleased to host the Saskatchewan Global Food Security Forum, which will speak to one of the biggest issues of the 21st century – food security. This special event will bring together the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), and their key partners such as the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA)  and others for an informed dialogue with Saskatchewan agricultural enterprises on the issues at hand. The WFP is the world’s largest humanitarian agency focused solely on fighting hunger worldwide, and in 2011 was responsible for procuring over $1.2 billion USD of food worldwide.

Come and hear WFP personnel from headquarters in Rome, Italy speak on the organization’s efforts, and worldwide procurement needs. Also participants will hear about the opportunities available to Saskatchewan agri-business, and be able to engage in one-to-one meetings with the Head of WFP Procurement (please see attached registration form).

In addition to key personnel from the WFP and CIDA, decision makers, exporters, service providers, business leaders, and government officials from various levels will all be in attendance at this marquee event – make sure you are too!
