The Hanlon Centre for International Business Studies exists to prepare students for an increasingly globalized business world. The centre consists of academics, business liaisons, and students mandated:

- to increase the intensity of faculty research dedicated to Saskatchewan and Western Canada's international business;
- to increase the number of international perspectives in undergraduate curriculum;
- to increase undergraduate participation in international educational exchanges; and
- to increase the number of international students at the Edwards School of Business.

To support the Edwards School of Business' internationalization of its Bachelor of Commerce degree studies program, the Hanlon Centre offers students a unique Associate of International Business Studies (AIBS) recognition program in conjunction to his or her chosen study major. Further initiatives also available to students through the Centre will be a wealth of value added services and programs such as global business and cultural seminars/workshops, guest speakers on global subjects, related experiential learning opportunities (locally and internationally), study abroad programs & international business study tours, peer & mentorship programs, and offering of library materials/resources.

These initiatives have been made possible by a generous, $2 million donation from Ted Hanlon, an Edwards School of Business alumnus.
