Edwards student Kaliegh Zerr will be presenting her undergraduate honours thesis at the 2014 Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) conference in Hawaii next May.

“Kaliegh did a tremendous job on her honours thesis in 2012, and this is further evidence,” says Zerr’s supervisor Professor Chelsea Willness. “The summer following her project, a part of the research was presented at the International Congress of Psychology. This year, we submitted a paper based on a larger portion of the research to the SIOP conference, and this past week learned that the paper was accepted for presentation.”

SIOP is the top international Industrial and Organizational Psychology conference, and is well attended by management scholars, practitioners, and industry. Several thousand people attend each year, and the review process for papers is very competitive and rigorous – the acceptance rate is often less than 50%.

The Hanlon Centre is pleased to contribute a financial subsidy of $1,500.00 to Zerr for her related travel and accommodation costs.

Congratulations Kaliegh!
