Seeking a CA designation?
Individuals pursuing a CA designation in Western Canada must enroll in the CA School of Business (CASB). The CASB program is flexible, combining the successful completion of a series of online modules with a 30-month term of professional experience. Students who successfully complete the MPAcc program and are registered with CASB are exempt from the first five of the online modules. MPAcc graduates participate in CASB’s Module 6, which continues their preparation for the profession’s national exam, the UFE.
While work experience is not a requirement of the MPAcc program, students who have worked at an approved training office of a CA firm are given preference in admissions. Between terms, students generally return to their employer for additional experience. Students are responsible for securing their own employment.
