The Edwards School’s first Accounting and MPAcc Reunion was held Wednesday, October 24^th in Vancouver. Over 60 B.C.-based alumni from the MPAcc and B.Comm. Accounting programs were in attendance. Special guests included former Dean of the College of Commerce Lynne Pearson and former Associate Dean Doug Bicknell.  

Over wine and appetizers, Dean Daphne Taras informed the alum of recent Edwards School successes, including tremendous progress toward AACSB Certification, the CAAA awards received by accounting faculty and the case competition wins of current accounting students.

Keynote Shelley Brown, FCA, incoming president of the CICA and Senior Partner with Deloitte in Vancouver, then gave insights on the unification of Canadian accounting profession and the move toward a singular Chartered Professional Accountant designation.
