MPAcc Gives Back 2014
Release Date : May 29, 2014
Every year the MPAcc students at the Edwards School of Business invite local elementary school students to invade campus and spend a day learning about teamwork through the use of teamwork activities. This year 45 students from St. Goretti’s grade 5, 6 and 7 classes visited campus on Thursday May 29th where roughly 180 MPAcc students planned eight teamwork activities ranging from three legged races to maneuvering a group through a paper minefield.
"Our mission for MPAcc Gives Back is to inspire students to think about their educational future and to help develop them as individuals by connecting with them in a fun, dynamic and educational environment." Explained MPAcc Gives Back organizer Neema Charania. “We do this by engaging the students in a variety of educational team-based activities and then challenge them at the end of the day to take what they've learned and incorporate it into their daily lives. From our perspective, MPAcc Gives Back is an opportunity for our Masters of Professional Accounting students to give back to the Saskatoon community who welcomes us with open arms every summer!"
