Release Date : August 16, 2012

Norman SheehanThe CMA Canada national board of directors recently awarded to Norman Sheehan, CMA, the prestigious national honorary designation of FCMA (Fellow of the Society of Management Accountants of Canada).

The FCMA is based on recognition by peers of the achievements of a member.  The distinguishing qualities of an FCMA are a demonstrated excellence in management accounting, commitment to and pride in the Society and the CMA designation, and a civic-mindedness which brings a community's respect to the member and, through the member, to the CMA designation.  Members recognized for these qualities are also recognized as role models by others, both for their past achievements and their expected future achievements and contributions.  Norman exemplifies the qualities of an FCMA, and is a worthy candidate for the designation.

CMA Canada (Saskatchewan) will be publicizing the recognition given to Norman with an announcement in the Regina Leader Post and the Saskatchewan Star Phoenix this fall.  He will be an honoured guest at the annual concovation in Regina on November 10th, where he will be presented with his FCMA certificate.
