Edwards School of Business JDC West Team Wins 2nd Place School of the Year

Over 800 delegates, sponsors, judges and volunteers celebrated the JDC West Business Competition awards presentations Gala on the weekend. Awards were presented for academic, debate, sport, social, charity, participation and school of the year.
JDC West is the largest student run business
competition in Western Canada and is a three day event that showcases academic competitions, athletic challenges, a social competition and a charity initiative. Over 550 students from unite annually to compete in this competition that is solely organized by and for business students.
The competition also features a charity aspect; every university competes on raising the most money for their specific charity. “This year, the universities raised over $260,000 for charities across Western Canada,” boasted Stephanie Ulm, Co-Chair of the organizing committee.
The winner of Charity was the Paul J. Hill School of Business at the University of Regina raising over $76,000.
Seventeen Awards in addition to the School of the Year and Charity were presented to business students representing 11 of Western Canada’s top Universities. A complete list of 2011 JDC West winners can be found here.
