Protege benefits/commitment include:

Protege Application Form (applications for the 2012-13 program are now closed)

  • Personalized match with an experienced professional as a Womentor
  • Quarterly 1-hour one-on-one coaching/development sessions with your Womentor (at a minimum)
  • Womentorship Kick-Off Event (October)
  • Three Developmental Seminars (November, February, April)

The annual Protege Womentorship Membership Fee is $750 + GST. We have three sponsored memberships available for Proteges currently employed in the not-for-profit sector with a registered charity. Thank you to Robin Chapman of Chapman Wealth Management Group, TD Waterhouse Private Investment Advice for sponsoring a membership for a Protege from the not-for-profit sector. If you wish to be considered for one of the sponsored memberships, please submit a letter of interest with your completed application form. Your letter of interest must indicate how your experience and professional development within the Womentorship Program will benefit both yourself and your organization. Proteges must be University of Saskatchewan alumni. Given the importance of face-to-face interaction in the Mentorship Program, preference will be given to those living in Saskatoon and area.

Space in the program is limited. Only 20 Proteges will be accepted into the 2012-13 Program. To ensure this opportunity is available to as many as possible, we are restricting our Protege membership to those who have not participated as a Protege in the Program before. Past participants are invited and welcome to participate in the 2012-13 professional development sessions at a cost of $200/session. Please send us an email to womentorship@edwards.usask.ca to let us know you are interested in this opportunity.

  • A personalized match with a Protege

Application Process:

After all applications are received, each application will be reviewed individually as part of the matching process. Once a match is finalized, we will notify you. Our goal is to find a well-suited match for everyone accepted into the Program and, unfortunately, an appropriate match may not be available for everyone who applies. The matching process will be completed before the first event on October 18th, 2012. A complete program schedule will be released in August 2012.

For the success of this program, it is important that you commit the time and make yourself readily available to attend the majority of our workshops, and that Proteges initiate contact with their Womentor. Given the importance of face-to-face interaction in the Mentorship Program, preference will be given to those living in Saskatoon and area.
