Undergraduate (B.Comm.) program

If you're looking to pursue an undergraduate business degree, the Edwards Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm.) program is the right choice for you.

Applying online takes approximately 20 minutes; however, you may start an application, save it, and return to it any time. You will need:

  • Your personal information, educational history (including dates and grades from schools attended)
  • A valid e‐mail address
  • Visa or MasterCard for online payment of the $90 application fee1
  • Make sure you have reviewed all the Requirements & Deadlines information for the program

  • Transcripts
    • If you are still completing your degree at the time of application, please upload your unofficial transcripts from all post secondary institutions that you have attended with your application.
    • Applicants from the University of Saskatchewan do NOT need to submit U of S transcripts.
  • Letters of Recommendation
    • Three confidential letters of recommendation are required. Out of the three letters, two should be written by professors who have taught you before.  As part of the online application, you will be asked to provide your referees' email addresses.  Upon completion of your online application, the system will generate an email message to each of your referees and they will be able to submit electronic letters of reference through a secured website.  However, if they prefer to mail or email us the letter, they can complete the the GSR 101 form and send it to our office directly.  The form can be downloaded here.
    • Letters of recommendation should be written by persons who are well-acquainted with the applicant's work as a student, employee or team member, and who are in a position to comment critically on the applicant's ability.  Employers or coaches are encouraged to attach a written letter providing more detail.
    • Your referees have until December 15th to submit their letters of recommendation.
  • Proof of Immigration Status
    • If you were not born in Canada, please submit a copy of your Citizenship or Permanent Residency Card, or Student Authorization (Study Permit).
  • Application Fee
    • A non-refundable $90 application fee payable by credit card at the time of completing the on-line application.  You can also pay by credit card or cheque made out to "University of Saskatchewan". The credit card authorization form can be downloaded here.

The Typical Application Process

Applications are due 18 months prior to the program start date (two calendar years in advance). For example, the application deadline is November 30, 2015 for the May 2017 MPAcc program.

  • By November 30th: Submit Application
    • All documents must be uploaded prior to the application deadline except the confidential letters of recommendation.  
  • From the time a complete application is received to January: Application Review
    • Our office conducts an initial review of your application.
  • November to January: Optional Interview
    • You may be selected for an interview (telephone for non-Saskatoon and face-to-face for Saskatoon applicants) if deemed necessary by our office.
    • Please note that the interview is optional in the application process. Neither conducting nor waiving suggests our preference for an applicant. 
  • Early February: Admission Decision
    • The admission decisions are communicated to all applicants in the beginning of February.
  • Early March: Offer Acceptance
    • All successful applicants must respond to our offer by indicating their acceptance by early March (exact date to be specified in the offer letter/email).
