Message from Dr. Marjorie Delbaere

Greetings from the Edwards School of Business. It is my pleasure to share with you the inaugural issue of ResPect: Research Perspectives newsletter. This newsletter offers you a glimpse of the impactful research happening at Edwards.

Scholars at the Edwards School of Business are transforming business scholarship through socially impactful research and meaningful collaborations. Our business school has a research community that is renowned for its excellence and innovation in the core areas of sustainable business, accountable business, and business innovation. Our faculty also contribute to improving business education through research on the scholarship of teaching and learning. In addition to conducting their own research, Edwards faculty are actively involved in mentoring and training students to advance the future generation of business research scholars.

A few highlights of research at Edwards over the past 5 years:
  • The average success rate of applications from faculty at Edwards to the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Insight grant program has been 100% and the average success rate of applications to the SSHRC Insight Development grant program has been 45%
  • 15 faculty have won Top Tier Journal Awards for publications in the highest-ranked journals in their fields
  • 14 faculty members are editors-in-chief or associate editors at well regarded academic journals
In the first digital issue of the ResPect newsletter, we introduce our new research chairs, scholars, and fellows. These positions recognize the impact that Edwards faculty members continue to have on their fields as well as the leadership role that they play in advancing knowledge in the discipline and practice of business and management.
