Biography

I am responsible for Rawlinson Centre activities and Indigenous recruitment and retention efforts in Edwards along with the instructor and advisor for the IBAC program. I liaise and advocate with post-secondary sponsors for Indigenous students and provide holistic academic advising to all undergraduate students in Edwards School of Business! I am a Two-Spirit Métis woman whose family hails from the Qu’Appelle Valley. After growing up in Regina area my entire life, I moved to Saskatoon to attend USask where I completed a B.A. Honours with a major in Indigenous Studies and a Certificate in Indigenous Governance and Politics. For the past 4 years I have been an academic advisor with USask (mostly with the College of Arts & Science, so some of you transfer students may recognize my incredible sense of humor). I figure if I stick around the University long enough maybe it will inspire me to finally pursue graduate studies. Outside of being the best advisor around, I like to hang out with my cats (please ask me about them) and do beadwork.
