Biography
Tom is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan. Tom joined the Edwards School of Business in 2026. He holds a PhD in Accounting from Michigan State University, a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science (Accounting and Finance) from Indiana University, Bloomington. Prior to his doctoral studies, Tom finished the Finance Leadership Development Program at Aptiv PLC. Tom is a licensed CPA in the State of Michigan.
Research
Tom conducts empirical and archival research on financial accounting topics, including capital markets, auditing, and the nonprofit and healthcare sectors.
Teaching
Tom has taught both undergraduate and graduate accounting courses at the University of Saskatchewan and Michigan State University. He currently teaches the following courses:
